Theme music

The music I use is the last movement of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. This has been used as introduction music at many Yes concerts. My theme music is not take from a live concert – I put it together from the following two creative commons sources:

Kevin,

on the Yesshows album Time and a Word is merged with Going for the One: at the point where your recording stops immediately there comes the slide guitar by Steve.

Of course this is a studio cut as TatW is from a 78 live and GftO a 77 live. During the 78 lives TatW was the beginning of a big medley which dove into Long Distance Runaround (it has been reproduced on the The Word Is Live bootleg set) but Chris decided to cut it to GftO on the Yesshows album.

I hope this answers your question 🙂

Regards,

Joost.

That makes a lot of sense, Joost! Thanks so much for the explanation! I’ll be sure to read it out on the next episode! 🙂

The Yesshows was my fist yes show and I remember having that mic right above me at that show…Priceless

But have to agree with you they should have done a better job on the sound I mean they always give their all Live and I feel that with all the tech. that we have today that they could clean that up!
Thanks Kevin for all your hard work always looking forward to the next show
