After the news last week that the 2003 Glastonbury Festival concert is to be released as a CD next year, Mark and I decided to watch the DVD version and see if we thought it will be worth it. It’s a wonderful performance and a very interesting moment in Yes history so have a listen to our views and add your own on the show notes for this week.
Listen and let us know what you think!
- Is this release worth it?
- What were the circumstances of Yes’ only performance at Glastonbury?
- How does the performance sound?

Theme music
The music I use is the last movement of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. This has been used as introduction music at many Yes concerts. My theme music is not take from a live concert – I put it together from the following two creative commons sources: thanvannispen and archive.org

A great concert but it’s already available on the ‘Directors Cut’ release. Prior to Yes being announced on the bill at Glastonbury fans were asked to email the organisers requesting the inclusion of the band on the bill that year. All those emails must have paid off
I’ll upload a copy of the programme later
Hi Keith,
Yes we did mention that it’s on the Directors Cut of “Yesspeak”.
Thanks it would be great to see the program.

The band is not happy that this is being released in the fall, as they are going to start releasing archived concerts around the same time!
Hey Doug,
That’s good to hear. It’s interesting that there has been no word on this happening. ..I believe you Doug..it’s just ironic that due to this release…Yes will be releasing archived concerts.
In any case ….Bring Them On!!!!
Excellent show! They are all in top form, having a good time and seem to be getting along fine.
