The one hundred and twelfth episode of the Yes Music Podcast featuring a fantastic interview with one of the most influential Yes Fans in the world, Steve Sullivan. He is one of the founders of the amazing fan site, ForgottenYesterdays.com and has been heavily involved in the Voices for Yes campaign to have Yes inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
STOP PRESS –
Erratum from Steve – Keith Levene wasn’t a member of the Sex Pistols, he was a co-founder with ‘Johnny Rotten’ (John Lydon) of Public Image Ltd., Lydon’s post-Pistols band. Levene was also an early member of the Clash, though he was already out the band by the time they made their first album.
- What is Steve’s own Yes story?
- How did Forgotten Yesterdays come about and what’s on the site?

I listened with interest to the interview. I have to say what a nice bloke. I admire his passion for the band, and all the resources he’s created for research over the years.
There were a few times though when I wish he’d got to the point a lot quicker. Some of his answers were interminable!
On the subject of the Hall of Fame. I think I couldn’t care less whether or not Yes is in it. It seems to me to be a pointless american thing anyway. They should restrict it to their own music. Great bands like Yes are way too good for that kind of trashy award, and why we’d war to beg them to let Yes be ‘inducted’. If they view their hall of fame as being so precious, let them keep living in their ivory tower of pretentiousness.
Rant over!
Thanks, Jeremy. Well, it’s good to support Yes in any way I can, I think. You never know where it might lead… Great to see you are still listening and enjoying!
Of course I hope they do get in after all that. Imagine the humiliation of them not being recognised and the Yes wannabes Rush, getting all the plaudits.
Still listening and loving the podcast!
