Produced by Jeffrey Crecelius, Wayne Hall, Preston Frazier, Bill Govier and VR Hoisington
This is part two of our exploration of Peter Bank’s activities after Yes – and specifically the first Flash album. After starting this last week, we received great input from listeners so thank you for that.
There’s also a Two Pence about the forthcoming YES50 Live album.
Listen and let us know what you think!
- What did Peter do next?
- What’s the first Flash album like?
- Did Peter manage to do what Yes wouldn’t let him do?

Theme music
The music I use is the last movement of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. This has been used as introduction music at many Yes concerts. My theme music is not take from a live concert – I put it together from the following two creative commons sources: thanvannispen and archive.org
One reply on “What did they do next? Part 1b – Peter Banks – 380”
Another great show guys. Regarding Peter, I can tell you that he was a complex man. Peter was very stubborn, and he was what we now call bipolar, which we then called manic depressive. These led to him being difficult to work with at times during his music career, which was one of the reasons he was axed from Yes, that he left Flash during their last tour, that he left a Syn reunion, and also a proposed Flash reunion. If you haven’t seen it I would refer everyone to a 1 hour video interview he did with Mark Powell in 2010, which is still on YouTube, and to the “Classic Artists: Yes” dvd, which is essential for Yes fans, and to which I contributed information, photos & memorabilia.
