Theme music

The music I use is the last movement of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. This has been used as introduction music at many Yes concerts. My theme music is not take from a live concert – I put it together from: archive.org

Happy Earth Day, and Peter Frampton’s birthday-Peter & Chris Squire were good friends. I appreciate the new episode while Kevin is on holiday in deepest Africa, or Canterbury! I’m a big fan of Steven Wilson & his various projects or bands, including seeing PT headline at NEARfest in 2001, and opening for Yes in Ohio in 2002. Simon correctly points out that plenty of folks were happy to see PT on that Yes tour, and not all of the audience was middle-aged, I can tell you first hand, even if I was!

On to CTTE, I have a 1st US pressing, and a 2nd US pressing, both signed by that lineup & artist Roger Dean. Mark, I know exactly what you are saying about the Taiwan pressings, as I have an original ‘Fragile’ Taiwan pressing. Very strange album cover, lined inside both the front & back covers, with no inner album sleeve.

As for the US ‘Relayer’ tour starting in Oct., I don’t have an issue with it starting here instead of the UK or Europe. They are looking at how Covid is doing in each territory & how it’s projected to be in the fall, which is why they postponed Europe to next year. I hope they add some Canada dates in Oct./Nov., but we’ll just have to wait for the tour announcement to see. No, I don’t know when that will happen, or when tickets will go on sale- it is 6 months out…BTW, a UK ‘Relayer’ tour is being planned for next year either before or after the Europe dates. Hopefully with a song or 2 from the new album that will be released this fall or next year.

About the different pressings of CTTE. How does Mobile Sound Fidelity Lab of CTTE rank? I bought a copy in the early 80’s of the MSFL CTTE issue, but I really don’t have a good ear to compare it to my standard pressings.

I was lucky enough to see the Porcupine Tree/Yes tour in Florida in 2002 (at the ripe old age of 47, so not a 50 something baby boomer). Clearly I was there to see Yes but I really enjoyed Porcupine Tree and bought In Absentia as a result (and many others by Steven Wilson since).
