This week Mark and I listened to the edited audio of the main ‘location reports’ I made last Saturday during my trip to London to tell some Tales from Topographic Locations. I had a great time discovering what those important places look like today and their surrounding areas.

Please tell us your experiences of The Rainbow Theatre by leaving a comment below.

  • Is Morgan Studios still in operation?
  • Where did the band rehearse Tales?
  • Where did Yes play 5 consecutive nights on the Tales Tour in the UK?

Let us know if you agree with us!

Theme music

The music I use is the last movement of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. This has been used as introduction music at many Yes concerts. My theme music is not take from a live concert – I put it together from: archive.org

Hi Kevin and Mark –

Another great episode – thank you. As usual, I’ve learned some new things.

When I took note again of your “Topographic Locations” title, I thought it works very well, as “Oceans” and “Locations” have enough sounds in common.

This led me to wonder what other adaptations of Yes titles might be interesting, and I started a list of possible products or businesses that Yes fans might like. I only came up with a few, but perhaps other podcast listeners might be able to contribute lots of other ideas. Forgive the silliness of this, if you will – here are a few ideas:

Topographic Lotion
Hound Chaser (leash)
Going for the Run (running shoes)
Wonderous Tories (British political consultants)
Dramamine (already exists!)
Buy from Here

All the best,
Greg

It was nice to tune in on Facebook to see these live. I hope the trip was worth it to help you collect more geekery for your upcoming book.
