Nice episode. I shudder to think of all the nice collectable bits and pieces I have chucked or given away over the years – ticket stubs for sure and in particular a very nice US TFTO tour programme with (if memory serves) a black cover that probably got traded for a Lurkers single or something equally pointless in 1977. If anyone has a spare copy (of the programme not the Lurkers single) then I’m in the market.
Quick question – I finally got around to listening to the Jon Anderson interview with Alec Baldwin and it is a really enjoyable. No side-swipes at former colleagues or bitterness of any kind just some warm reminiscences being shared with an interviewer who is clearly a real fan rather than phoning it in. Question is did Chris Squire ever do something similar – especially talking about the very early days from his perspective?
Sorry Mark but I had an original LP of No Earthly connection including of course the plastic foil mirror. Back then I bought everything Yes related as soon as it came out. It wasn’t very good so I sold it in the mid 80’s to fund my love of proper music, classical. I wish I still had it then I’d give it to you. His only really worthwhile albums are 6 Wives and Criminal Record. The latter was of course recorded during the GFTO sessions which I think gave it that extra special energy. I saw Rick only once with his own material. It was a lot of fun, the King Arthur tour. It was at Leeds Uni and as there were no seats and we got there early, we were right at the front. It was a knight to remember 🙂

That’s very nice of you to say. It’s next to impossible to find that foil!! And I agree that Six Wives and Criminal record are Rick’s strongest albums…although No Earthly Connection has a few songs thst I enjoy.

regarding The ABWH 2 disc release there are two versions published by two different labels ….there were some problems with the initial release as it appears to not have been fully authorised, the second version was . I think the first has the Rick comments , the second does not. I have both versions.
Re the More Drama cd, I have 4 copies, still sealed, from when I bought 4 tickets to the tour.
