David Watkinson, Roger Dean and Trading Boundaries – 661

Produced by Wayne Hall, Joseph Cottrell, Jeffrey Crecelius and Ken Fuller

This week I’m feeding back on my trip to Trading Boundaries to see what Dave Watkinson has put on display alongside the permanent Roger Dean exhibition there. I made a video of Dave showing me around and we both enthuse about all the amazing items.

I then had a chance to chat with Mark about what he noticed on the video – of course it’s embedded into the show notes below.

  • What was on display?
  • Where and what is Trading Boundaries?
  • What has Paul Graf sent to Kevin?

Theme music

The music I use is the last movement of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. This has been used as introduction music at many Yes concerts.

A great listen as always, and an even better visual treat. I am going to the UK (from Aussie) in September so hope there is something on then for me to see.
Just a note Kevin, when you are looking at the gold vinyl’s and say “there is Yes music in those golden grooves” it is certainly not those albums as you can see from your footage that the ‘gaps’ in between the tracks are too many…ie if it was ‘Close to the Edge’ you would only see one ‘gap’ if side 2 and no gaps if side 1 – but they look like about 6 songs on a side.
I then went to look at buying one on line – even the TOTO cup was pretty pricy!! – but certainly lovely items to look at!
Thanks for posting

Ah good spot on the tracks! Yes I suppose they are just random records and probably all the same one…
