Bob Cesca and Tim Panella talk about working with Yes and we unveil a never-before-heard Yes song!

Produced by Jeffrey Crecelius, Wayne Hall and Preston Frazier

It’s been quite a week. Mark and I managed to scoop an amazing world exclusive thanks to Bob Cesca and Tim Panella. They joined us to talk about the period in which they both worked with Yes on remixes, artwork, videography and more. We discovered not only untold stories but also Yes music which has never been heard in public before, 20 years after it was recorded by Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Alan White and Steve Howe.

Listen out for the full, fascinating conversation as well as some undiscovered Yes music.

  • Why has some Yes music not seen the light of day for 20 years?
  • What did Bob and Tim get up to with Yes?
  • Was it a positive experience?

Theme music

The music I use is the last movement of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. This has been used as introduction music at many Yes concerts. My theme music is not take from a live concert – I put it together from the following two creative commons sources: thanvannispen and archive.org

Wow how very cool to hear yet another time and place of what was going on with Yes.
That remix is the absolute bomb very cool.

Thanks to your guest and to you both for all your hard work and dedication to everything Yes

Good show guys. Remix was interesting and a world exclusive- what’s not to like, well done. Keep up the good work, all of the team.

Okay on a side note and who knows maybe it’s not a surprise to all , however my wife and I were watching season 2 episode 13 of Good Girls is called King, on Netflix and all of a sudden I here Chris Squire ” You by my side ” playing I was like ….What…lol
They were playing a good part of that song during that episode I was thrilled to say the least. Never know when Yes men are going to show up in one’s life….

Great Interview, awsm insights/memories and some great bits of new (old) music. I remember corresponding with Bob after Magnification came out and he was kind enough at the time to send me a copy of the original artwork for the Magnification album on the condition I didn’t share it. So I made a deal with him I would delete it once I’d seen it…which I did. Promise honoured Bob. Would love to see that again some day if you’re reading this. And… I have always loved Tim’s LDR remix after hearing it during the closing credits of the Dreamtime doco. Superb work and a total joy to hear the whole thing here on YMP.
