A quick round up of 2015 – 206

Episode 200 and a new logo! @asiageoff @yesofficial #prog #progrock http://yesmusicpodcast.com
2015 in review

In a short episode, I take a quick look back at some of the events in 2015 for Yes and the YMP. There are also some great items sent in by listeners.

  • What was the most important event of 2015 for Yes?
  • How difficult was producing the YMP in 2015?
  • How did I find the motivation to continue?

Listen to the episode and then let me know what you think!

Theme music

The music I use is the last movement of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. This has been used as introduction music at many Yes concerts. My theme music is not take from a live concert – I put it together from the following two creative commons sources: thanvannispen and archive.org

Awesome show as always Kevin I have like I’m sure many others have totally enjoyed the 2015 edition of the YMP
It is always great to hear from people around the world and there own Yes stories which makes this so great. I can’t wait to hear what will be coming in 2016 but I’m pretty sure it will be like all the other shows Outstanding !

Merry Christmas to you and your Family

Cheers

Thank you for including me — and I’m impressed that you pronounced my name correctly! Some people who’ve known me for years haven’t managed that.

Cheers, and happy holidays.

Greetings my friend…once again another wonderful episode. What better way to come to a close of another year then a recap. I agree that Yes wise the passing of Chris Squire was at the top of the list of memorable and unfortunate events. The release…finally…of the Anderson/Ponty album was big for me. Also the addition of Billy Sherwood to the group was big. I love Billy’s music and he is perfect to take over…and with that said that fact that Yes is continuing is a big event too…they could have easily closed up shop in 2015.

On a personal note..this year was the year I joined the YMP podcast team as Rick Wakeman/Yes and Yes members album/Dvd reviewer. ..say that 4 times fast. I’ve really enjoyed contributing to the show and even doing the brief interview. I look forward to 2016.

In closing. .i wish you and your whole family nothing but the best for 2016. Also I wish you and the whole Yes Music Podcast listeners a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
