Theme music

The music I use is the last movement of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. This has been used as introduction music at many Yes concerts. My theme music is not take from a live concert – I put it together from the following two creative commons sources: thanvannispen and archive.org

Hello Mark,
I would doubt that Bill would have that kind of impact on the show’s that Yes are playing this tour Drama, two sides of Tales since he was never involved in these albums. However I do believe that if it was his music that he was part of I have no doubt that he would draw bigger crowds for sure as long as he kept that electric drum kit at home…lol

Thank you

Paul Tome

Hello Paul,

Thanks for your response. Interesting opinion. ..but frankly I think if they did bring him back…they would have probably stopped that Drama /Tales tour and did a more Bill era set…maybe do a Fragile/Time and a Word setlist.
But even if they didn’t I think the crowds would be bigger. Bill has a lot of fans amoung the Yes faithful.

Bruford may attract some Yes fans who are curious about Bruford but would not attract fans of that era of Yes. Shorn of Jon and Chris and playing Alan White era Yes music it would hardly be much of a draw other than for fans of Bill Bruford.

Hello Jeremy,
Thank you for your comment.
Interesting. .I love these discussions. .it’s a great insight as to how people view things. You could be right…maybe it would be minimal.
Ironically. ..last night I stumbled across a beautiful bootleg soundboard recording of a Genesis concert during their 1976 Trick of the Tail tour. As you may or may not know Bill was drumming for Genesis then. When Phil Collins introduced the band members. ..and got to Bill..the place went crazy. Clearly a lot of Genesis fans were familiar with him and his drumming…which sort of makes me think that he is more a “name” then we think. I think he could affect crowd size.

Again…thanks for your support Jeremy. We really appreciate it.
