Anthology 2 - Steve Howe
Anthology 2 – Steve Howe

Produced by Preston Frazier, Bill Govier, Wayne Hall and Michel Arsenault.

Our first ‘proper’ episode for a couple of weeks features the brilliant Steve Howe Anthology 2 as well as a two pence about ARW changing the set list (at last) and there are two Yestival reviews!

  • Can we hear the origins of Howe’s style here?
  • What are those ‘backing tracks’?
  • Is it a worthwhile collection?

Theme music

The music I use is the last movement of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. This has been used as introduction music at many Yes concerts. My theme music is not take from a live concert – I put it together from the following two creative commons sources: thanvannispen and archive.org

Glad that you’re back to normal service!

I thought it was a fairly interesting review of the Anthology 2 album … that is until you, Kevin, said you’d not listened to disc three!
I’m sure it wouldn’t make much difference though.

I think Marks comments summed up what I’ve been saying for years about Howe. He’s not a team man.

Out of curiosity I’d like to hear his pre-Yes music but not enough to buy this album. The Union stuff sounds interesting but that album was a dog’s dinner.

I like Kevin’s solution to getting more songs from Fragile on the set list by including “Long Distance Runabout”. Two songs for the price of one 🙂
